Youth Ministry- "I.M.P.A.C.T."

1st Winter Retreat 2009

I.M.P.A.C.T. "I Move People As Christ Taught"

Dear Friends,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves to you. We are St. Anthony's Youth Ministry, "I.M.P.A.C.T.". Our ministry began on August 15, 2008 with Rev. Sang Tran's blessing, myself, Deacon Donald Pinedo and a handful of enthusiastic volunteers.

Our mission is to help the youth in our neighborhoods to find God and sustain a lasting relationship with Him.

We have youth gatherings every Thursday evenings, retreats and some recreational events, such as: ice skating, baseball games, movie nights, etc.
Also, during the year, the youth and the adult team members have various parish fundraisers; such as excursions to Harrah's Casino, Bake Sales, BBQs, Valentine's Day Dinner/Dance, Thanksgiving Dinner, Mother's Day Tea Party, car washes, etc. Along with these events, the youth are serving in our parish and in the community. They have visited the elderly in a convalescent home and have served at the Rescue Mission here in Oxnard.

Our main goal is to evangelize the youth, so they will know, love and serve God. They are our Future! Another one of our goals is to be able to sponsor some of our youths to the World Youth Day 2011 in Spain.
Thanks be to God, the youth ministry is helping sponsor 8 youths to World Youth Day 2011.
Won't you consider sponsoring this much needed ministry? Any donation will help and be appreciated. All donations are tax-deductible and will make a difference in the life of a youth, perhaps in your own neighborhood. If you have any questions, please contact me at (805) 443-5713. Thank you for your support.
Yours in Christ,
Deacon Donald Pinedo
Youth Minister

If you would like to join us, we gather every Tuesday, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Monsignor Condon Center at 6:30pm. We look forward to meeting you!
